This is especially important in a multi-user environment, where there can be more than one person accessing the modules simultaneously. Setting up a password system allows for varying levels of access to each module, as well in Student Details, password protection to the tab level. The levels of access are: no access, view access, and edit access. -- part contents for card part 1 ----- text ----- Please click the mouse to continue. -- part contents for card part 3 ----- text ----- Because each school uses different attendance codes in keeping their attendance, Mac School allows each school to define up to 128 DAILY ATTENDANCE CODES. Once the codes have been defined they are utilized by the Attendance module. -- part contents for card part 4 ----- text ----- You may enter up to 128 PERIOD ATTENDANCE CODES to meet your school’s requirement. These codes will then be used to keep track of period by period or class attendance in the Attendance module. -- part contents for card part 5 ----- text ----- This is where the process of scheduling begins! The structure of your school timetable will be defined here. The school can identify: • Fixed Days - operation on a Mon. to Fri. week or • Relative Days - a 1 to 14 day cycle • Number of periods in a day, and their times • Number of blocks in the cycle -- part contents for card part 6 ----- text ----- This is an example of a Fixed Days (Mon. to Fri.) 40 block cycle. The 40 block cycle accommodates a range of course times. It will be able to schedule classes that meet every day of the week, classes that only meet Mon., Wed., and Fri. or even classes that meet once a week that are 3 hours in length. It’s flexible to meet your school's needs. -- part contents for card part 7 ----- text ----- This is an example of a Relative one day cycle - where every day is exactly the same. The number of blocks in the cycle is dependent on the number of periods in a day. -- part contents for card part 8 ----- text ----- Classroom Setup allows you to identify the useable resources in your school - almost like creating a blueprint of your school. The room information will be utilized for homerooms and scheduling purposes. -- part contents for card part 9 ----- text ----- Certain fields have been identified allowing you to enter all the variables particular to that field. Lunch status is one example. You will see and use these fields in Student Details. If your school has no need to track Lunch Status you can easily change the name of the field to suit your needs! -- part contents for card part 10 ----- text ----- The infractions entered here are used in Student Details for tracking student discipline. -- part contents for card part 11 ----- text ----- Mac School will auto-increment student numbers in Student Details if a starting number is entered. -- part contents for card part 12 ----- text ----- User Definable Fields allow you to name the fields and track information on your students that is particular to your school.
